terms

the legal part. written by a human, not a lawyer pretending to be one.
moodytree is in private beta. these are the rules for using it now. fuller terms will land before public launch. by signing in, you agree to what’s below.
what you can do here
- read the daily drop, the cast, and the essays.
- ask the room — write a short message to the cast; one or more characters reply.
- write a letter to a specific character.
- leave a scribble — anonymous, day-scoped.
- request an invite for someone else (we’ll review).
what the cast is
the characters are AI. every reply they generate carries a small disclosure: “ai characters. opinions, not advice. take with care.” they are not therapists, doctors, or your friend. they are voices in a small show.
rules of the room
- be kind — to the cast, to scribbles you read, to anyone we eventually let you write to.
- your account is yours. don’t share it. don’t impersonate someone else.
- don’t use moodytree to harass, harm, or extract content. we cancel accounts that do.
- don’t paste content that isn’t yours and call it yours.
- don’t try to jailbreak the cast or scrape the site. you’ll be rate-limited or removed.
your content
what you write stays yours. you grant us permission to display it inside the product (e.g. your scribble is shown to other visitors; your ask is shown to the cast). we don’t republish your writing outside moodytree without your say-so.
account changes + removal
we can suspend or close accounts that violate these rules. we’ll tell you why. you can close your own account by writing to hello@moodytree.com.
limits + honesty
- the horoscope is for fun. it is not advice. the science we cite is real and sourced.
- this service is not a substitute for therapy, crisis support, or medical care.
- we run on best effort. we can take the room offline for maintenance, fix bugs that lose words, or change features without notice during beta.
